About Kenpo Karate Evolution:At Kenpo Karate Evolution (KKE) you get a complete work out program that is geared to the level of challenge you're looking for. You'll not only get into shape at your own pace, but you'll become proficient in effective, real life self defense.At KKE you will learn in an atmosphere of respect and enthusiasm. Your instructors are specially trained to teach you with encouragement, positive motivation and patient guidance. They will help you find the discipline, self confidence and self respect that they themselves have found through Kenpo Karate. Once you have enrolled, you can set you own schedule. There are classes available days, evenings and weekends. Also, private instruction can be scheduled and is a great way to compliment any workout routine. At KKE you will learn the concepts and principles of American Kenpo Karate. Our main focus is to teach a street effective method of self defense for men, women and children. Services Offered:KKE teaches three types of Martial Arts. The first being Kenpo Karate. Kenpo (fist law) Karate was the term used by Professor Chow when he introduced Karate in Hawaii which was later brought to the Continental United States. It employs linear as well as circular motions using various methods of blocking, striking, and kicking. The second art is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gentle art). Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the art of suppleness, flexibility and gentleness. The third and fourth arts that we teach are Valencia/Lameco and Cabales Serrada Eskrima. Weapons are thought to be an extension of your own body and are a very useful tool in developing form and technique. KKE offers a variety of Martial Arts styles including American Kenpo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Valencia/Lameco Eskrima, Cabales Serrada Eskrima, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts. We also offer a Fitness class for those whose main focus is to enhance their fitness level without having to participate in the actual combat situations of a martial arts class. The classes that we offer can be taken individually or in a program made up of a combination of the different styles that we offer. Our mission is to foster self-improvement and personal development through focused training. We promote physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere.Philosophy:KKE is a Martial Arts school educating students in the ways of American Kenpo ,Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Eskrima and Kickboxing. By sharing our combined knowledge of the arts, the students develop greater self-confidence, higher self-esteem, and controlled, effective self-defense. Emphasizing courtesy and good sportsmanship, students grow in a disciplined environment at their own pace and skill level. First, students learn to develop the strength, coordination, and agility essential in executing self-defense movements. Then, as the students advance, the instruction focuses on mental development which is vital to the students in learning to control their knowledge.KKE teaches students the discipline and self-confidence that enables them to ignore threats of aggression which to lead to physical confrontation. Yet, when given no choice, students are more than capable of defending themselves. Etiquette:The following protocol is required at KKE.
Rank, Uniforms, and Patches:Rank: Belts are awarded to students who have completed the material needed to achieve the next rank in order, displayed the proper attitude, and demostrated both maturity and respect for others. Students are evaluated by their instructors and are then advanced in rank when their instructor sees fit and is authorized by the headmasters.Uniforms: Standard Gi Uniforms are worn and the following protocol is followed: Ranks white belt to green must wear white, red, or blue uniforms. Green belts can wear black pants. Brown and black belts may wear any color uniform . Summer Gi Uniforms: follow the same protocol but white or black Kenpo Academy T-Shirts may be worn instead of the Gi Top, with board shorts. BJJ: Any color uniform can be worn. For no-gi board shorts, rashguards and knee pads are recommended. Patches: All students must wear the KKE academy patch on the left lapel. Additional patches may be worn. Please consult instructors before applying new patches. |
